We’re here to walk beside you, providing the practical support and encouragement you need to build confidence, gain independence, and engage with the world around you. Whether it’s help with daily routines, getting out into the community, or developing new skills, we tailor our support to fit your journey.

Sonya Jennings

Sonya is passionate about her work for NDIS participants. She has 15 years of extensive experience in the health coaching and fitness industry, which she uses to support participants with health and fitness goals. Sonya adapts well to people, is a great listener and understands that the path to optimal health is often complicated and emotional.

 

Sonya is a great motivator, and provides direction and accountability in her support worker sessions. Sonya would suit participants who are looking to transition to improved health.

Sonia Barattini

Sonia is motivated to help her participants achieve their goals and takes great pride in seeing her participants happy. She has been immersed in the mental health and disability industry for her whole life in both professional and private capacities.

 

Sonia provides holistic support in a friendly and fun way. She is a problem-solver, a great listener and is always keen to be challenged alongside her participants. Sonia’s ultimate goal as a support worker is to improve the lives of her participants.

Carly Reasbeck

Carly is a reliable, energetic, goal-driven and adventurous support worker with a strong background in supporting individuals living with psychosocial disabilities. This includes Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), schizophrenia, as well as other complex mental health conditions.

 

As a proud genderqueer individual and a member of the LGBTQI+ community, Carly is passionate about creating safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQI+ individuals. She understands the unique challenges they may face and works to ensure they feel seen, respected, and supported. Whether advocating for inclusivity, providing guidance, or simply offering a judgmentfree space, Carly is committed to fostering empowerment and belonging.

 

In addition to this, there are 2 more important bits of information about Carly. She was a Reserve Athlete for the 2000 Olympics in Taekwondo and she is an animal lover.

Harman Burgess

Harman comes to Journe with a diverse range of interests and skills. These include a passion for reading, hiking and playing the piano. His background in hospitality and education further enhance his ability to connect and support participants effectively.

 

With formal education in Psychology, Harman excels in providing Person-Centred support and empowering participants to achieve their goals. He is keen to share his knowledge to support your journey.

Leisa Evans

Leisa is a dedicated NDIS Mental Health Support Worker whose friendly, bubbly and creative approach to support work has won the hearts of many.

 

Leisa has a genuine passion for making meaningful connections with people. Her love for chatting creates a warm and welcoming environment, making it easy for participants to feel comfortable and understood. Whether it’s sharing stories, discussing interests, or simply brightening someone’s day, Leisa is always there to lend an attentive ear and a kind word.

 

Leisa’s creative talents and knack for artistry makes her especially adept at engaging with individuals who appreciate and enjoy creativity.

Ruby Coulton

Ruby is passionate about supporting participants based on their individual needs. She has two years of experience as a support worker and previously worked in hospitality. She is an avid cook. Ruby works with a diverse range of participants and enjoys organising activities for both individual and group events. She has experience working in highly sensitive situations and always approaches her work with an accepting and calm attitude.

 

Ruby is great at assisting participants with daily living tasks, such as meal planning, shopping, cooking, cleaning and attending appointments. She also encourages and supports participant to do other activities, such as find employment, travel, play games and be social. Due to Ruby’s adaptive and non-judgemental approach to providing support, she would suit any participant looking for a support worker.

Zoe Fajic

As a grandmother, Zoe brings a nurturing yet firm approach to support work. With 9 years experience she incorporates a wealth of knowledge and expertise into all activities. Whether it’s bushwalking, shopping, gardening, cooking, going to church or a friendly conversation. Zoe’s warm and social nature makes her a perfect fit for those who are looking to pursue their interests.

 

Zoe is able to support participants to implement therapist recommendations and is very diligent with providing documentation to secure increased NDIS funding if required. Through. personalised encouragement, Zoe can support you to live your life to the fullest and pursue your passion with confidence.

Sophie Spillett

Sophie is a qualified Support Worker with a Diploma in Community Services and over a decade of industry experience. She is passionate about helping people feel valued, connected, and genuinely supported in their everyday lives.

With a calm, down-to-earth approach, Sophie enjoys bringing creativity into her work and is a big lover of art and all things creative. She also adores animals - especially dogs - and is always happy to share a cuppa and a good yarn.

Sophie believes support should feel genuine, culturally safe, and truly person-centred. She prides herself on meeting people where they’re at and supporting them to live the life they want. And if the moment feels right, she’s always up for a bit of car karaoke - enthusiasm guaranteed, vocal talent optional.

Julie Lehman

Julie is a calm, fun-loving Support Worker who brings a beautiful balance of life experience and professional expertise. With a background in mental health counselling and therapy, alongside her qualifications as a registered nurse, Julie offers steady, compassionate support tailored to each person’s needs.​

She has training in movement and dance, meditation, nutrition, and certified hypnotherapy, allowing her to support both physical and emotional wellbeing in a holistic and person-centred way. Julie also enjoys swimming, walking, and spending time outdoors, and loves incorporating gentle movement and nature into her support when it aligns with a participant’s goals and interests.

​Whether you’re looking for a friendly companion, support with daily routines, or guidance toward your wellbeing goals, Julie brings warmth, maturity, and genuine care to every interaction.

Mel Kemp

Mel is a calm and friendly support worker who brings a diverse range of life and professional experience to Journe. She is passionate about supporting people in their day-to-day lives, whether that’s assisting with daily living tasks or helping them engage in activities and interests that are meaningful to them.

Currently pursuing a mid-life career change, Mel is studying Speech Pathology at the University of Newcastle. Through her studies, she has developed a strong understanding of the importance of culturally safe, holistic, and strengths-based support.

Mel is a great listener with a warm and empathetic nature. She is dedicated to ensuring participants feel supported, empowered, and confident in pursuing their goals and living the life they choose.

Kayla Joyce

Kayla is a friendly and down to earth support worker who is passionate about mental health and helping people feel supported, understood, and empowered in their everyday lives. With a background in social work, she brings a calm and compassionate approach and enjoys building genuine connections with the people she works with.

Kayla believes support should feel safe, respectful, and person-centred. She enjoys working alongside participants to support their goals, whether that’s getting out into the community, building confidence, or simply having someone to talk to.

Kayla is a creative person who enjoys craft, art, and mindfulness activities, and loves incorporating creativity into everyday life. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys swimming, spending time outdoors, gardening and cooking.

Sarah Austin

Sarah is a compassionate support worker who has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Advanced) and is currently completing her Honours in Psychology. She is passionate about supporting people to improve their wellbeing and get the most out of everyday life. Known for her gentle, calm, and supportive approach, Sarah creates an environment where participants feel safe, understood, and encouraged. She enjoys helping people build structure, confidence, and independence while working together to achieve meaningful goals.

 

Sarah has experience supporting young people as a Learning Support Assistant, tutor, and volunteer teacher, as well as through international volunteering experiences in Cambodia and Fiji. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach on weekends. She loves helping people feel supported and confident in their day-to-day lives.
